Kapasiwin Beach Onsite

Secluded public beach area

Kapasiwin’s own extremely secluded, public beach area provides the opportunity for an abundance of lake-shore recreation. Swim in the crystal clear waters or enjoy the opportunity for water-skiing, sailboarding, sailing or boating. We are happy to provide complimentary canoes and kayaks. The Northern Lights (Aurora) is absolutely spectacular at Kapasiwin for viewing when they are out and dancing.

Waskesiu Townsite

A short bike or walk away

The Waskesiu Lake town site has a championship golf course, six tennis courts, lawn bowling and the lake. It also has 3 marinas with full launching facilities giving motorboats easy access to seven lakes for fishing, recreation, and ecotourism enjoyment.

Restaurants, clothing, home décor, art galleries, and more provide for a unique shopping experience. Canada Day festivities, Children’s Festival, and cultural events are part of the summer entertainment schedule – check out the Parks Canada website to coordinate your visit. There are kids swimming, tennis, and golf lessons available by instruction. Waskesiu serves as an all-purpose playground.

The Park

Nature. Always.

Prince Albert National Park embraces nearly 4000 square kilometres of wilderness. You’ll find more than 150 km of well maintained trails throughout the park for hiking enthusiasts. Picnic sites with fully enclosed shelters, fireplaces, picnic tables and firewood compliment the many beaches around the lakes. The Park also offers an extensive activity schedule and fully interactive interpretive programs.

 

In addition to all you can do in the Park, just outside the park in Lakeland district are even more activities from horseback riding to zip-lining in the nearby adventure park, and much more. The activities, events and excitement are here year-round. You can snowmobile, go dog-sledding and even skate or go ice fishing on a frozen lake.

The Marina

Get on the water

Rent a boat for a day on the water! Just 5 minutes away they have canoe/kayaks for rent as well as paddle boards, pontoon and fishing boats. Boat launches are available at the main marina, the Heart Lakes and also at the Narrows.

The Lobstick Golf Course

Stanley Thompson Masterpiecce

The Lobstick Golf Course was built in 1935 and is one of the oldest courses in Western Canada. The course was designed by legendary Canadian architect Stanley Thompson.

​ According to native legend, the emblematic tassel-top lobstick tree, created by lopping off a series of branches below the top, was used as a navigational marker.

Snowshoe & Cross Country Ski Trails

A Winter Wonderland Awaits

When the snow flies, Waskesiu’s trails are turned into some of the best runs that can be found anywhere. And one can not beat the scenery of magical Waskesiu covered in winter’s white coat. There are approximately 45 kilometers of groomed ski trails in the park which provide lots of options for visitors to enjoy snow-covered scenery and terrain. There are both skate and classic ski trails with varying degrees of difficulty. A 1km spur trail connects the Spruce River Highlands trail to 18km of ski trails in the Anglin Lake area. Waskesiu, Crean and the Heart Lakes

Enjoy either a half or full day on one of Prince Albert National Parks many lakes, for a chance to catch some of Saskatchewan’s most prized game fish: Northern Pike, Walleye and Lake Trout. Lake Country Rentals Prince Albert

Do something different

We want you to be able to access the great outdoors… In style! For work or play, they have vehicles and gear to get you there. Snowmobile rentals for winter. Boats and personal watercraft for summer. They will help you plan an adventure tour on snowy trails or some of Saskatchewan’s beautiful northern lakes with snowmobile and boat rentals at great rates, with all the gear you need to get where you’re going. Please note snowmobiles are not allowed in Prince Albert National Park, but many great trails are surrounding PANP for you to enjoy!
